Testing out Serverless - questions

I'm trying the new serverless feature and am running into some issues. Following the docs, I added the plugin to my .eleventy.js:

const { EleventyServerlessBundlerPlugin } = require("@11ty/eleventy");

module.exports = function(eleventyConfig) {


  eleventyConfig.addPlugin(EleventyServerlessBundlerPlugin, {
    name: "weather", 
    functionsDir: "./netlify/functions/",
  });
	

};

I can confirm that when I ran the Eleventy CLI, it generated my serverless function. However, netlify.toml was generated empty with no redirects. I'm unable to get a request to my template to go "through" the serverless function. What would cause netlify.toml to be generated, but empty?

Turns out the issue was a tab in my front matter. :\ Thank you to @zachleat for sharing the tip.
