Custom element doesn't exist for streaming to Chromecast #678

I'm encountering the same problem. However it did not start immediately after upgrading to 2024.4 with my but only after i powered my nest 2 off and on again. Possibly related to #661 |
Chiming in, just updated to 2024.4.1 and still does not show on cast when I had no issues before. |
I am having the same issue. The result of trying to fix it by changing the version in Resources doesn't work for me as after restart it adds the "v" back. Tried this: #260 Anyone have any luck? |
Seems to be working now, however it only casts a black image, where on my browser and phone app it shows the video feed. FIXED:

Works again after update to the 3.5 2 version! Thanks a lot! I use it often to cast front door camera for one minute to my kitchen tv everytime somebody enters my garden. Super handy because I can not see the garden from the kitchen... |

Issue Description:
After updating to HA version 2024.4, casting the dashboard view to a Google Chromecast using "Google Cast: Show Dashboard View" no longer displays camera streams. Instead, an error message is displayed indicating a problem with a custom element for the camera.
Current Installation Details:
Core: 2024.4.0
Supervisor: 2024.03.1
Operating System: 12.1
Frontend: 20240403.1
Steps to Reproduce:
Update to version 2024.4.
Attempt to cast the dashboard view to Google Chromecast using "Google Cast: Show Dashboard View."
Observe that camera streams are not displayed, and an error message appears.
Expected Behavior:
The dashboard view should successfully display camera streams when cast to Google Chromecast, without encountering any errors.
Observed Behavior:
Camera streams do not appear on the Chromecast display. Instead, the following error message is shown:

Additional Information:
The issue started occurring immediately after updating to version 2024.4.
Camera streams were correctly displayed on Chromecast before the update.
