Quick summary

Selecting multiple paragraph blocks used to provide the option to change the typography settings on all the selected blocks. That option seems to no longer be available.

Example: https://en-support.files.wordpress.com/2020/12/settings_several_paragraphs.gif?w=666&zoom=2

settings_several_paragraphs

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add multiple paragraph blocks to a page
  2. Select multiple paragraph blocks
  3. Check block settings for typography options (bold, italic, size, etc)

What you expected to happen

Typography options should be available that are common across the selected blocks

What actually happened

I think this changed with the latest releases, but I can't seem to find one that matches the Gutenberg repo.

Thanks for the ping @Robertght

This is a side effect of the move to the ToolsPanel UI that was introduced in Gutenberg 11.9: WordPress/gutenberg#33744 (cc @aaronrobertshaw)

I am able to reproduce locally on a vanilla WP install running the Gutenberg plugin and on an Atomic test site.

Since this isn't isolated to wpcom, I've opened a core issue here:
WordPress/gutenberg#37188

Thanks for the ping. I'll take a look and update the core issue directly 👍

A WIP in progress fix is up in WordPress/gutenberg#37216.
