Feature: Add support for Azure SQL AAD Users #3700
Comments
Hi @matthchr, were there any technical difficulties why this has been removed from 2.7.0? The documentation (https://azure.github.io/azure-service-operator/reference/sql/v1/#sql.azure.com/v1.User) still tells it should be possible. Are there any plans to support this any time soon? Thanks! |
Sorry for the confusion. I have the AAD support in this branch but it didn't make it into 2.7.0 due to issues I had with testing. The documentation on the AzureSQL user is actually incorrect, it doesn't support AAD currently, it needs work before it can. I will fix the documentation. I don't know if we can fit this into 2.8.0 but given I've got the work at least partly done I'll pull this item back into 2.8.0 to at least investigate if we can fit it or not. |
Hi @matthchr, I noticed that the feature has been moved from version 2.8.0 to 2.9.0. What’s the likelihood that it will be included in 2.9.0 and not delayed further? Thank you! |
@dsempi, unfortunately a few of us have gotten pulled off onto other items and didn't get time to finish this for 2.9.0. Given that and 2.9.0's imminent release, it's unlikely that this makes it into that release. |
