I have been using pygeostat since 2020 and have never had any issues until right now. I am getting an error when attempting to import pygeostat into a notebook. I uninstalled and installed pygeostat on my environment and when I re-installed I got this message:
DEPRECATION: pygeostat 1.1.1 has a non-standard dependency specifier matplotlib>=2.2.*. pip 24.0 will enforce this behaviour change. A possible replacement is to upgrade to a newer version of pygeostat or contact the author to suggest that they release a version with a conforming dependency specifiers. Discussion can be found at pypa/pip#12063

No I never could. I talked to the individuals there and they are no longer
supporting it as their time is fully invested in the RMS software. I tried
installing a previous version of matplotlib to see if that would fix the
"deprecation" issue but I just kept getting more issues attempting to
install the older matplot versions..... If you figure anything out let me
know please. Thanks
