For example:

A user uses straight line tool to create staff lines, they will subtract the glyphs layer from the staff lines layer to ensure that no pixels from the staff lines belong to glyphs.

What kind of work flow would this have? Copy (cmd + c) elements from one layer and go to select layer to subtract from and remove pixels by command + x ? Or maybe some sort of pixel.js-specific hotkey like command + shift + x ?
