1. Introduction

Welcome to the user's manual for the X5 Mobile Pro GNSS Receiver. This guide will help you understand the features, setup, and operation of your device.

2. Product Overview

The X5 Mobile Pro is an ultraportable GNSS receiver designed for professional-grade performance. Key features include:

  • Cost-effective PPK, NTRIP, and RTK modes
  • Pocket-sized design
  • Centimeter-level accuracy
  • Compatibility with multiple GNSS constellations
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Durable housing

3. Technical Specifications

4. Getting Started

  1. Connect the X5 Mobile Pro to your mobile device via USB Type-C or power it with a powerbank.
  2. Enable data transmission via Bluetooth or USB Serial Port.
  3. Install a compatible GNSS application on your mobile device (e.g. QField, SW Maps, FieldGenius, Survey Master).
  4. Open the application and configure it to work with the X5 Mobile Pro.

5. Operating Modes

5.1 PPK Mode

  1. Configure your application for PPK mode.
  2. Set up a GNSS base station at a known location.
  3. Record GNSS observations continuously in the study area.
  4. After the mission, download data from both the X5 Mobile Pro and the base station.
  5. Process the data using specialized software (e.g., RTKLIB, Emlid Studio).

5.2 RTK Mode

  1. Configure your application for RTK mode.
  2. Set up a GNSS base station (e.g., GNSS X5 Receiver) and configure it to transmit RTK corrections via LoRa.
  3. Ensure the X5 Mobile Pro is in correction receiver mode.
  4. Begin field data collection once a Fix state is achieved.
  5. Monitor LoRa signal quality during operation.

5.3 NTRIP Mode

  1. Ensure your mobile device has internet access.
  2. Configure your application for NTRIP mode.
  3. Select a CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) close to your survey location.
  4. Enter CORS station data in your application (IP address, port, Mount Point, credentials).
  5. Begin GNSS data capture once a Fix state is achieved.
  6. Monitor GNSS signal quality and accuracy of NTRIP corrections during data collection.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Keep the device clean and dry.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures.
  • Handle with care to prevent drops or impacts.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your X5 Mobile Pro:

  • Ensure the device is properly connected and powered.
  • Check Bluetooth or USB connection.
  • Verify that you have a clear view of the sky for optimal GNSS reception.
  • Confirm that your application is correctly configured for the X5 Mobile Pro.
  • Restart the device and your mobile application.
