STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: Currently, the symbol depicting human resources is PS (Entity: Sustainment, Symbol Set Code: 10, Code 162400) which is indicative of personnel services. The “PS” main icon symbol is no longer satisfactory for its intended use because it does not adequately support doctrine and creates confusion in developing doctrinal depictions of sustainment support. IAW ADRP 1-02 and ADRP 4-0, personnel services relates to personnel welfare (i.e. readiness, quality of life) and economic power. Personnel services includes human resources, financial management, legal, religious, and music support.

PROPOSED SOLUTION: Change the PS (Symbol Set Code: 10, Code 162400) main icon symbol to HR to adequately depict human resources in the sustainment force structure.
