I've run into some issues getting my Android emulator working, but I think they are sorted out now so I should be able to test the reproduction steps soon.

Checked this on my real life Android phone on the staging version of the app. It is not reproducible for me.

Gonna mark this as a "Needs reproduction" and remove the blocker.
