Look into converting during build process as seen here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2162275/convert-files-to-unix-format-using-maven using the maven assembly plugin configuration.

In the meantime Mohamed will re-enable checkstyle and convert all of the current source code to use unix line endings.
