This will be a plugin for i18n-next to simplify process of development.
For editor will be used monaco-editor and for json or yaml validation will be used built-in support of Monaco.
It will show up as a overlay on top of a website, may split screen in two with body and an editor and features.
- The scripts observes view area and see what elements are included.
- After clicking and a word it will find all occurrences and compare with included elements to find almost exact value in language editor that was clicked.
First, we need to select text.
On selection end there will be a toolbar popup, which will have:
- Button to open a language file on a found line in VSCode
- Other found occurrences of selected text
- Ability to open Monaco editor in browser with found
The editing process involves saving and reading and the problem is that frontend is unable to write anything directly into file system.
There are two possible workarounds:
- Starting a local server to support editing of local files
- Integrate with existing backend
- Manual changes
