To fix this, change the X configuration (eg. by enabling mirroring or excluding it from the virtual desktop). See xorg.conf, xrandr(1) or monitor configuration widgets of the desktops (eg. KDE). |

There is an opened wxWidget ticket related to dual monitor: http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/11148 But there is no any moving last three years. The sample wxWidget application http://zetcode.com/gui/wxwidgets/firstprograms/ works the same way like GO. But after I commented out caling Centre() in Simple::Simple, the window started displaying on the first monitor. Martin, could you eliminate centering on start of GO? Or introduce a command-line or configuration option of starting without centering? |

PS: The current X server offer xrandr. KDE ships a applet, which allows dynamic reconfiguration similar to windows. I guess, that other desktop have something similar). The xrandr tool allows you to do the same via 1-2 calls from command-line/script. |

I use linux (Fedora 20, Xorg server 1.14.4), but the same problem appeared with the older versions.
My video card has two ports: DVI and HDMI. DVI is connected to a monitor, and HDMI - to an AV receiver. The videocard treats the AV receiver as a secondary monitor, but there is no real monitor existing: I use HDMI for sound output only. By default the X server arranges these two monitors to one virtual screen (AV receiver's "monitor" is on the right of the real monitor).
The problem is when I start GO, it brings its windows always on the secondary monitor (that does not realy exist) and it is not visible for me. It is possible to press Alt+F7 and move its windows to the visible area, but it is not convenient.
I'd like GO to always appear on the current monitor where it is started, like all other GUI applications do.
