Sad but true. I use usb mostly for recordings though. It's normal that you might have to increase the samples per buffer when using reverb. I personally use a size of 128 without reverb and 256 with. Your computer will simply be more busy when using software reverb than if not. Don't bother too much about the reported latency. It's not a certain value. Use your ears instead to find optmal settings. Kind regards Lars P |

I'm using a (k)ubuntu 13.10 PC. 4xIntel core i7 1.9GHz, with Behringer UCA202 USB audio card.
My problem is that if I use convolution reverb, I must set to 1024 the sample buffer size. In this way the latency in the “Audio Output” tab is more that 21ms.
I love convolution reverb and most of my instruments are recorded dry.
Do you think that I can improve my latency using an external application, like Jconvolver
or a reverb module in a VST host, so that to reduce the GrandOrgue sample buffer size?
Best regards.
