== currently working on:
* refactor
== Left to do:
* Prevent blinking on transparent images (like my magiceye header)
* Support wrap in the upper visual
* Support wrap in modular parallax (moving less than zero is identical to moving to right side, moving past right side wraps back to zero)
* Add comments clarifying that I'm not bothering to support wrap in manual grayscale calculation, since that has no upside and would cost cycles.
** Possibly add code to at least *detect* left/right out of bounds, and perhaps skip index variable to next valid coordinate?
*** That ought to save as much time as it eats, and might make left/right edges of grayscale product cleaner.
* Research support for paste-into-document?
** For local files
** For urls (#A)
*** In this circumstance, we can do away with the text input and simply have a span displaying current url
* #B A button to refresh current image
** 1: It clears the sweep settings
** 2: It clears the gray canvas
** 3: Iff we have a "default" offset, then it goes there
** 4: It tries to reload the file
*** In case local via input, simple call to "HandleFileUpload" ought to refresh that
*** In case local via dragdrop or copy/paste, it might be important to try to coerse File Input object's .file or whatever attribute for future abuse
*** In case remote, refresh remote URL.
* Clean up noise?
** Convolution?
** Blur?
** Detect and eliminate repeated-pixel noise?
*** Shows up for ascii stereograms, mostly due to flat colors in background.
*** Also some sharp hidden images wind up with repeated pixels in the distortion that cast unwanted lateral shadows.
* Any way to better handle random-dot stereograms? (currently this app sucks at those)
* Automatically find sweep begin and end
* Figure out a better CORS solution than abusing anyone else's proxy
** To clarify, when proxy is left blank many remote urls cannot presently be loaded.
* Some kind of UI to toggle between diff-view and original stereogram?
* Option to overlay hues from original stereogram onto grayscale depthmap, or something like that?
* Fix layout so that:
** Probably worth locking page-wide horizontal scroll
** Content is centered both vertically and horizontally
** URL bar and file picker are on same line
** That line is same length as parallax, sweep begin, sweep end controls
** Sweep begin/end control buttons more clearly correlate to their measurement values
** both cavases are downscaled (preserving aspect ratio) not one centimeter (~75px) more than they need to in order to fit on the screen in the intended layout
* Make sure multiple sweep attempts on the same image each reset the grayscale canvas from prior attempt
* If data: urls are going to get summarized to anything (currently to lengths) then I'd like to store that summary->content mapping into a hash, so that summaries can be revisited.
** This entire feature will probably be obscolesced by #A and #B
** EG, paste in a different url and then paste in the "data:XXX" url in the same session it will at least try to look up a mapping for that data: url and use those contents if found.
** In this circumstance, we should NOT use that mapping in PreDraw to test for a match. For performance reasons we should still use a separate, faster, more native technique such as comparing hash (eg, comparing length)
