Zip files that take more than 30 seconds to unzip

Try really large ZIP files. Will the PHP script that unzips them be aborted after 30 seconds due to maximum_execution_time? The time limit does not count time spent in system calls, I am not sure how much of the unzipping load is spent in system calls.
