I maintain the Islandora installations list (Yes, I know the map is busted right now; Google API issues). It's populated a little bit by people contacting us to let us know they use Islandora, but a lot of it is sites that we find in the wild, often because the word "islandora" appears in the url for all repositories items in Islandora 7 unless the sites have taken steps to change their root repository.
Islandora 8 doesn't have that tell. It there another way we could insert "islandora" into a place that would be discoverable with a search engine, like a "powered by" block (as Drupal does)? Something that can be turned off or opted out easily? It would be great is we could carry over that "Googeable" kind of Islandora identification so we can still find new Islandora 8 sites who don't necessarily reach out to our community

Everyone seemed most comfortable with adding in a basic pade that goes with defaults, with a brief (Googleable) blurb explaining what Islandora is, maybe with some useful links.
