<p id="A1">Pinhead é um o principal antagonista da franquia Hellraiser. Pinhead antes de se tornar vilão era um soldado ativo na Primeira Guerra Mundial, porém após ver seus companheiros morrerem em batalha, teve a fé interrompida, fazendo com que ele experimentasse a tortura. Então, ele se torna parte dos Cenobitas, uma raça interdimensional que quando convocada à Terra trazem o que para eles é visto como prazer, mas para os humanos é dor e sofrimento. Os Cenobitas são considerados demônios e pertencem a um círculo muito particular do inferno, sendo servos da Ordem de Gash. Pinhead então passa a adorar o sadomasoquismo, e se torna o principal vilão de Hellraiser.</p>
