In other words: The setup of the entry preview should enable to show PDF comments. Somehow refs JabRef#392 |
We are group of students of the university of Basel and in our project we try to solve this issue. As we understand it, we are supposed to create a new tab for annotations, where a link to an annotation in a PDF can be found. Is this correct? Further we are not sure how the part about the preview is meant. Could you maybe explain this some more? |
For gathering some more background, I would recommend to fire-up Mendeley and get an impression how PDFs are handled in Mendeley. This issue stronlgy relates to #6857. In this issue, the handling of a single entry preview is meant, whereas in #6857, the complete list is discussed. It is great to have PDF Annotations as a tab, however, it would be great to provide a reference to these annotations in a form of a field for preview entry. This would enable fancy modifications to preview entry, as well as a better one-page overview of the information (for example, while searching for notes, etc).
