[BUG] Plots.jl v1.9.1 simply hangs with simple plots

A fresh environment with Plots.jl v1.9.1 simply doesn't work:

And to clarify, the command above hangs indefinitely, and this is a behavior I have noticed before when trying to build the documentation of GeoStats.jl. I had to pin the version of Plots.jl to an old version because plots were hanging.

What looks odd to me, is that you have GR 0.53, but GR_jll 0.52.

This is a fresh environment created just for the bug report. All I did was ] activate @foo and then ] add Plots.
