Important Installation Instruction

Kindly run the command "composer update" from the terminal/command prompt to download all the necessary dependencies for this application before running it. You can get composer from Composer website.

Also find and download the repairshop.sql file from the root directory of this repo. Import this file using phpMyAdmin or any other appropriate means to have a sample seeded database that the application can work with.

To properly configure the database, create a .env file in the root directory with the following information in it:

APP_ENV=local APP_DEBUG=true APP_KEY=FjzTGFmeQ38IId4iF6RBKXWW24TBugzh

DB_HOST=127.0.0.1 DB_DATABASE=repairshop DB_USERNAME=root DB_PASSWORD=

CACHE_DRIVER=file SESSION_DRIVER=file QUEUE_DRIVER=sync

REDIS_HOST=127.0.0.1 REDIS_PASSWORD=null REDIS_PORT=6379

MAIL_DRIVER=smtp MAIL_HOST=mailtrap.io MAIL_PORT=2525 MAIL_USERNAME=null MAIL_PASSWORD=null MAIL_ENCRYPTION=null

All these values can be changed depending on the configuration for the server the application is hosted on. That is, before deployment APP_DEBUG will be set to false and proper database access values entered.

Laravel is a web application framework with expressive, elegant syntax. We believe development must be an enjoyable, creative experience to be truly fulfilling. Laravel attempts to take the pain out of development by easing common tasks used in the majority of web projects, such as authentication, routing, sessions, queueing, and caching.

Laravel is accessible, yet powerful, providing powerful tools needed for large, robust applications. A superb inversion of control container, expressive migration system, and tightly integrated unit testing support give you the tools you need to build any application with which you are tasked.
