Electron could be a good alternative to nw.js

Agreed. Seems to solve quite some of our dev needed.

I tested it a bit and it seems relatively easy to use and it seems to imply very few changes in the current code.
Potential benefits:

  • multiple windows,
  • packaging,
  • updates management...
