Why does everyone in the community of FF8 modding literally just assume everyone knows what they are doing. I have tried everything to get the reborn version to work, the legacy versions to work and I have been doing this for an hour. The Demaster manager literally will not unpack the files and I am so confused. What is even going on? Please help me. I'm so lost.

I have minimized my issue to a the dinput8.dll file. if remove it game works like normal but no loaded mods.. if put it in the FFVIII Remastered directory. I will get a command screen pop up. read the files. try to start the game. black screen then go back to desktop game stops. any advice would be great.

this took 3 hours of testing to get this result. please tell me if this is helpful.

Yes, that tells a lot. The no address found says that specifically the address the mod is looking for in the game doesn't check with what it should be.
This means you are having incompatible version of the game or outdated version of demaster. Current latest in release section is made for FFVIII: Remastered version 1.0.3.0 which is the latest on Steam. Please download the latest one from release or if you are using the Hoodium cracked release then it's 1.0.0.0 which is pretty outdated. I encourage you to buy the game off Steam so you will have the 1.0.3.0 or... look for preupdated cracked release which I can't really recommend as it's piracy
