PATH issue: This directory is not in the search path for executables or it is at the wrong position in the path

Hey there!
My Prof recommended miktex, so i tried installing it. I'm on arch, so I'm using this AUR package. I opened the MiKTeX Console, and selected 'Finish private setup'

After it installs and restarts, I get the following error:

PATH issue
Links to the MiKTeX executables have been installed in:
/home/<username>/bin
This directory is not in the search path for executables or is at the wrong position in the path. You can fix this issue by adding the directory to the environment variable PATH. This makes it possible to invoke the MiKTeX executables everywhere

When I click on "More information", I get sent here, where it just says:

The environment variable PATH is usually correctly set when you install MiKTeX on a computer running Windows or Linux.

So I figured I'd just add ~/bin manually, so I added

export PATH="$HOME/bin:$PATH"

to my .zshrc and reloaded

However, the error still persists. What do I need to do in order to fix this?

Update: I managed to fix it by uninstalling the texlive package, seems the issue was incompatibility between them
