Could be your _1 train ending. Check if there is a folder with exactly that name.

You could also update to latest FW and patch that. There is a pre-patched AIO FW Update available.

Normally you can only start either CP/AA navigation or unit navigation. With nav ignore both can run at the same time.

I have an Audi A3 8V 2014. 2.0 TDI 184 HP. I would like to update the maps to the latest versions. I currently have maps 2014/2015. My navigation version is: MHIG_EU_AU_P1531. In the red menu I have the activation code: 02100018. I downloaded the latest maps using mib-helper. I also downloaded M.I.B. but I miss the patched software. Can you help me sort this out?

Could someone provide me with such software? Unfortunately I can't find one. I tried to make a patch on the current software but unfortunately there is a bug and it doesn't work. Maybe you need to change to this new software.

Hi, I have a 2015 Audi A3 e-tron with firmware MHIG_EU_AU_P1531_1, I would like to update it to MHIG_EU_AU_K1555 so I can install M.I.B and update the maps. Once I update the firmware does anyone know if I will lose the etron-specific area of the MMI that I have shown as attachments?
I plan to get the firmware from mibsolution here however it doesn't mention that it is for e-tron cars, and has been used by people with standard ICE cars. Hence I am unsure if it will contain the e-tron specific fields

I have Golf mk7 and MIH2 Harmman, when I was trying to update FW by mistake erase almost all and now I have only shell mode available. Can you please help me to restore device? I need to restore partitions and I cannot find any information how to do it. Whole /usr/apps catalog is missing and modifye2p. When I try to flash it goes Ok but still is not working. My previous version was MHI2_ER_VWG11_S2125_MU0343 and now I was trying to use MHI2_ER_VWG11_K3342_MU1427.

Hello everyone. I have an audi a3 8v made in 2015. I update the firmware to MHIG_EU_AU_K1555; i installed MIB 3.7.0; i made a backup in MIB (in green menu 4.12); then i executed patch_unit_aio in order to be able to update the maps.
The problem is that the fec shown in the REM is the same as the original one (0210001c).
The SVM-fix option in the MIB also did not work (i did it with vcds). Can you tell me how am i supposed to do so that i will be able to update the Maps? Thank you.

Have a early model 2014 A3 all updated now. Was a bit of a journey but got there in the end.
The MHIG version I had was quite old and had to retry a few times. Sometimes would freeze on updating or had strange errors. Think it came down to the SD card I was using, switched to a samsung 32 from a sandisk 16 gig and seemed to have resolved it.

First issue I had was not knowing how to get into GEM, worked that out from another post but then the GEM version came up as 2.14. Updated the firmware and maps, but then couldn't view maps with a 'the navigation data are not enabled' message. Had to do a few starts and re-starts to get AIO working, but eventually was successful. Ended up with the correct activation key, but have two copies, one legal and one illegal, working fine though.

Yes I got that message as well at first. Occurred when I updated the maps on the old firmware. At that stage I didn't patch properly/right FEC.

I didn't need to change to MHIG_EU. Went straight to the the RW K1556 firmware as shown. I suspect there is something wrong with the RW 2024 maps (P353). I'm unable to update to it and it has an invalid data error. Think your issue is incompatibility with the _EU firmware and version of maps. Try ROW P313 maps with the _RW firmware.

Actually just finished the update to ROW P333 maps today and working well, but still can't go further to P353.

When I did a OBDeleven scan, there was a static B126CF2 'navigation database not enabled' error. Think it was due to the illegal FEC I had. Tried to overwrite it by running the MIB FEC function again and it said successful, but still had both legal and illegal for 021d00ee.

Ran the clean SWDL function and it cleaned it up so only had legal ones now. Cleared the fault code and all good now with no errors.

I've already updated everything to the latest version available (MHIG_EU_AU_K1555), but from the videos I've seen and the part about the green menu, at least in the key combinations page it appears that the a3 2015 doesn't have access to that screen, how did you manage to access that part?

I'm asking before I do anything, since I had prepared the SD card for version 3.6.0 and it looks like I'm going to have to install version 3.7.0. Do I have to place the MHI2 patches on the 3.7 folder?

Hi,
You're probably in a good place since you were able to update the firmware. The key combination is missing from that page but the green menu does exist. The combo is back and bottom left button (red menu being back and top left button). There is a bit of trick to get the button combo working. Press back a few times until you're back at the home screen, then press and hold back then quickly press and hold bottom left. GEM should appear in about 6 secs.

I used 3.7.1 and it should auto patch without needing to copy anything into the patches folder.

I'll try again tomorrow with 3.7.1 without adding the patches to the folder not that it had this MHIG_EU_AU_K1555 firmware patch in it anyway.

Yes, you should see the screen update with progress, if it seems to be stuck, try a different SD card.

Nice to see some more success. I gave up and went another route. I purchased and installed a bridge behind the centre console that adds wireless android auto/car-play using the stock screen and controls, so now have Google Maps and Waze at my disposal. Probably didn't cost any more than VAG would charge for a map DVD/SD card anyway. You'll find plenty of options on Ali Express, just find one that has lots of legitimate positive reviews.

You're right, i was looking at the exact same thing. Good reviews on a unit at Ali express and seems well integrated with the factory controls. Anything to watch out for when installing? Tucked it above the MMI unit?

Completely removing the glovebox helped but reinstalling it was tricky. My unit came with two wifi antennas, if I were to do it again I might have placed one a bit closer to the driver door for when I keep my phone in my pocket. Other than that it works fine installed behind the climate controls.

Only niggles are:

1. Module shuts down as soon as the engine turns off (keyless ignition) instead of when the driver door opens.
2. The star * button on the steering wheel was used for skipping tracks but is not recognised by the module, need to use the volume knob to skip. Impossible to skip when an OEM screen is being displayed, ie when the reversing camera displays.

Other than that it does the job reasonably well.

Regardless, I intend to buy the carplay adapter module for the car, but first I'd like to know if you connect your mobile phone to the car's bluetooth or to the bluetooth of the module so that the screen shows carplay / android auto. Because if you connect it to the bluetooth of the module, I won't need to pay for a reinstallation of the system.

You disconnect from the car bluetooth and only connect to the carplay bluetooth.

A couple of questions to validate some things to avoid bricking my MHIG unit just to update the maps from a 2016/2017 version (Australia)

My current unit is :

Everything on this discussion string is referencing to patch to K155x:
MHIG_RW_AU_K1556 (MU: 0416)

1. I'm concerned about mine being on a Pxxxx SW Train currently and updating with a Kxxxx SW Train - what is the difference that the letter is signifying (P or K) and will it cause an issue if mine is on a P train ?
2. If it will brick it or is not compatible, I'm obviously happy to update to MHIG_RW_AU_P1531 but this does not seem downloadable on mibsolution.one site anywhere... ITs in the MIB backup directories but these are not downloadable.
3. Is it even worth upgrading and risking it. What features will the firmware upgrade give ? As far as Im aware it wont give native Carplay/AndroidAuto and I already have that with an aftermarket addon adapter. All that I can find is that it may give me the opportunity to update the native maps ... IS it worth it ? The only activation key i have at present (via red menu) is 021d0016
