The SBMT specializes in small bodies that have been, are, or may/will soon be the targets of spacecraft encounters. Several other databases host shape models of small bodies. These include, but are not limited to, the PDS Asteroid/Dust Archive, the Database of Asteroid Models from Inversion Techniques (DAMIT), the 3D Asteroid Catalogue, shapes derived from VLT/STEREO data, and a JPL database of asteroid shape models. Interested users can download a model from one of these other sources and then visualize the shape using the "custom data" capability in the Small Body Mapping Tool.
