How to set up database in another virtual machine for Fuseki

Thanks for preparing the guide for installing Skosmos on a Ubuntu or Rocky Linux Server machine. I have followed the instructions and was able to get Fuseki running. My organization requires the database to be hosted in a separate VM. I need some help to get this working. I would like to know the following and would really appreciate your guidance:
a) Do I need to follow all the Fuseki installation steps in the database VM with only the database directories?
b) How would I get the web server to connect to the database in the database VM i.e. what config file would I need to update?
Any tips would be much appreciated.
