Color Picker Application

Overview

This is a simple color picker Windows Forms application developed in C#. It allows users to select colors through various means and provides real-time color detection from the screen.

Features

  • Color Dictionary: Contains a collection of named colors with their corresponding hexadecimal codes.
  • Color Search: Users can search for a color by entering its name and view the associated hexadecimal code.
  • Color Display: Displays the entered hexadecimal code as a color.
  • Real-time Color Detection: Get the hexadecimal value of the color under the cursor.
  • Additional Information: Links to GitHub, About, and Refresh functionalities.

Usage

  1. Color Search:

    • Enter a color name in the search box and press Enter or click the search button.
    • If the color name exists in the dictionary, its hexadecimal code will be displayed.
    • If the color name is not found, a message will inform the user.
    • Real-time Color Detection: The pnlColorRealTime panel displays the color under the cursor, and lblHexaRealTime shows its hexadecimal code.
  2. Navigation:

    • Click on "About" to view information about the application.
    • Click on the GitHub icon to visit the GitHub repository.
    • Click on the refresh icon to reload the application.
  3. Closing the Application:

    • Click on "Exit" in the File menu to close the application.

How to Run

  1. Requirements:

    • .NET Framework: This application is built using 4.7.2 .NET Framework.
  2. Installation:

      1. Clone the Repository: git clone https://github.com/NattyXO/Color-Picker
      1. Open in Visual Studio: Open the solution file in Visual Studio.
      1. Build and Run: Build the project and run the application.
