If you care about your readings history, you should not rely on your phone (xDrip) for keeping it safe. You may lose your phone. Your phone may break and stop working.
It's best to set up Nightscout, which will serve as a repository of your readings. Even if you lose your phone, Nightscout remains.
There is also an xDrip bug we still have not resolved. It has been reported that the xDrip database can just disappear!
We will hopefully resolve it.
But, as long as we haven't fixed that bug, that's another reason you should set up Nightscout if you haven't already.
