Have you ever felt what a blessing it is to be able to go to sleep because you don't have to worry about your child possibly having a hypoglycemia?
xDrip has a missed reading alert. It informs you if there are no readings. Readings could stop as a result of a malfunction. A possible malfunction is if there is a disconnect between the collector xDrip and the sensor.
For a parent following their child, a malfunction can be as simple as a WiFi interruption.
But, there is a trade-off.
If you enable this alert, you will have nothing to worry about because you will be informed after a certain amount of time (alert parameter) having no readings.
But, every time the patient walks away from their phone, longer than the set amount of time, the alert will trigger as well. Some may find this annoying.
You can disable the alert to address this annoyance. Then, if there is a real malfunction, you will not be notified. Can you imagine if you wake up in the morning and find out that you have had no readings for the past 7 hours?
So, what is the solution?
You have to decide if you want this alert or not. If you do, you need to enable it because by default, it is disabled.
