Use Echopype with NMEA0183 echosound SDPT frame

Hello, considering that certain echosounders only show data as simple as depth and temperature, would it be possible to use echopype to perform the processing? i.e Echosound SS510 Airmar which uses a nmea SPDT screen to give depth and temperature. Only that
