Is it possible to have a VU audio meter available like in the VHS days, there was a visual peak meter.

I am not referring to the VU brand of receiver here

I doubt it, they work on the voltage level of the analog signal, which doesn't exist. And afaik it isn't possible to pull a useful digital value out of the SoC.

Is it possible to have a software version of these like a plugin?
