I forgot this was required today, and spent a good few minutes trying to figure out while my gear wasn't showing up! A prompt to enable Location Services, if not enabled, would be helpful.

We actually do this in the app. Message reads as follows:
To be able to find your gear, we need you to grant permission to access your location. Clicking the button below will show you a dialog that you need to press allow on. We do not use this information for anything else (feel free to get in touch if you want proof of this).
