Hi All, I have a question about triggering pointgrey blackfly camera with Pixhawk. I am sorry if this is not the right place to ask. I have tried Px4 communities but could not solve my Issue.
I have a Holybro Pix32 pixhawk. I am using Px4 firmware (version 1.8.1) to fly it indoors using vicon. So far it works fine but I was trying to attach a pointgrey blackfly (BFLY-U3-05S2C-CS) camera to it to use out monocular vins algorithms and trigger it with Pixhawk. However, I am not able to do it.
I am attaching the camera to a NUC throguh USB and attaching signal and ground pins of pixhawk to opto_in and opto_gnd ping of the camera. Got the setup checked but camera doesnt trigger.
I have set up the following parameters:
TRIG_MODE: Time based, on command
TRIG_INTERFACE: GPIO
TRIG_INTERVAL: 50ms
TRIG_PINS: 56
TRIG_POLARITY: active low
TRIG_ACT_TIME: varied between 1ms to 40ms
I can see the pulse of desired width in an oscilloscope if I hit trigger button in Qgroundcontrol or can see pulses when I use trigger_control in px4.launch.
The camera doesnt trigger. the voltage across AUX5 ground and signal is 3.3V but when I attach camera it becomes 1.7V. I thought to use an external relay with octocoupler but its the same thing. When I attach the relay voltage drops to 2.6V and relay doesnt work. I have also noticed that the there is no voltage across +/- pins. I was expecting 5V. Can anyone please let me know if I am doing anything wrong or if I need to set any other parameter?
Thanks,
Indrajeet
