Thanks I'd like to give 🙌

  • Many thanks to @isabela-pf for helping me think through UX questions!

Updates from last week ✔️

Challenges I faced and things I'd like assistance with 🙏

  • This UX work is difficult because I have to make decisions. Isabela has been helping me think through these.
    • Example: the "go up" command is registered on the filename node class. But this means that when the directory is empty, go back fails. So should I get rid of the command and handle the backspace key in the class?

My availability for next week

  • Here.

Important items for discussion 💬

  • Axe-con

Updates from last week ✔️

  • I'm still working on the hamburger menu, found an issue with Lumino examples where I was testing the changes in the menu bar. I need to test it against Jupyterlab to see if I'm able to track the new features that I'm adding. The tasks I'll focus on:
    • Open an issue in Lumino with the issue I found in the examples
    • Test my changes with jupyterlab
  • I started checking the template for the talks in Jupytercon, but I'm not sure in which category should the talk/poster go. Maybe community ?

Challenges I faced and things I'd like assistance with 🙏

  • I'm still sick, took tuesday off but still not feeling my best

My availability for next week

  • I hope to be here and be better 🤞

Important items for discussion 💬

  • I don't have anything for today

@isabela-pf

  • finishing the User testing phase 2 this week
  • will need to act as a tiebreaker for the Zoom voting issue (there were no other folks from the JLab meeting voting) -> cleaning up existing experience 🤷🏽‍♀️ we will do what we can do with what we are optimising
  • after finishing user testing -> move to clean the JLab accessibility statement
  • where would we want to permanently keep the Space telescope usability resources (do we want to do some outreach?) -> Jupyter/survey
  • plan to do user testing in January - TODO: open an issue to keep track of the tasks and the such
  • also reviewed https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GkA-66AoDS31EsHGuyYpYivqoJdHANG2/view from the Lab meeting

@steff456

@gabalafou

  • finish focus PRs and tests
  • work on JupyterLab CFP (the only proposal for now)

All share drafts for PyCon and JupyterCon talks.
