When names are set to not be required at registration, avatar images cannot be changed unless a name is entered.
Steps to reproduce:
First ensure names are not required for registration. Register account without a name. Attempt to change profile image without entering a name.
Expected behavior:
When names are set to not be required at registration, I feel that I should be able to change my profile image without being forced to enter a name.
See new profile image as soon as it is uploaded.
Actual behavior:
Name field remains highlighted. A name must be entered. In my case, I just enter the profile name/web handle, but it is tendious and doesn’t make sense when I don’t want or need it.
Server Setup Information:
Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 3.0.2
Operating System: CentOS 7.7
Deployment Method: tar
Number of Running Instances: 1
DB Replicaset Oplog: Enabled
NodeJS Version: 12.6.1
MongoDB Version: 4.2.3
Client Setup Information
I feel like the name field should stay optional when I specify that it isn’t required at registration. Some online communities like the one I am developing for prefer not giving a name and just staying at a web handle/profile name basis.
