Displaying total daily energy used for entity?

I'm trying to use this chart to display the energy used for an entity on a daily basis. I've got he graph working to display daily data but can't figure out what func option to use to display that data? I'm pulling the data from and entity in the Energy feature in Home Assistant via Emporia Vue energy monitor. Thanks.
