I am trying to reconstruct the human Recon3D GEM model. More specifically, I am trying to set constraints (umol/g/min) for particular reactions collected from literature. However, I am having trouble 1) understanding the units associated with the flux rates and metabolites being produced or consumed at the current default bounds of -1000 to 1000 and 2) the conversion factor required to make the constraints required biologically relevant. I am under the assumption that the units used are mmol/gDw/hr when using cobrapy which would make our constraints negligibly small in this case.
