TWRP not asking for encryption password

• I am running an official build of TWRP, downloaded from https://twrp.me/Devices/
• I am running the latest version of TWRP
• I have read the FAQ (https://twrp.me/FAQ/)
• I have searched for my issue and it does not already exist

Device codename: ginkgo
TWRP version: 3.5.1_9-0

WHAT STEPS WILL REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM?

1. Install Pixel Experience or ArrowOS Android 11 ROM
2. Ensure encryption is enabled
3. Reboot to TWRP

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED RESULT?

TWRP asks me for the encryption, password, and the /sdcard and /data are mounted properly

WHAT HAPPENS INSTEAD?

TWRP doesn't ask me for the encryption password, and I can't do anything with /sdcard or /data because it's encrypted. twrp decrypt password doesn't work either.

OrangeFox recovery is working as expected for me.

Hi, I have same issue here.
I just update my OS to MIUI Global 12.0.2, and both 3.5.1_9-0 and 3.4.0.1 now no longer asked for password.
In 3.5.1_9-0, even the settings are being reset every boot to recovery, and will always ask for allow modification.
