We discussed keeping the 38em width restriction has an option for long pieces of text and expanding to bullets and inset text. However I think that the components should leave managing the width to the container, and we should manage the width containers, rather than leaving arbitrary values in the components themselves. |

For the content style guide I have added a column width container of two thirds to restrict the line length: https://65f32bcc75b32900ecb17e1b--hods.netlify.app/content-style-guide |

On inclusive language the widths of the paragraphs are shorter than the widths of the other text parts, such as bullets and inset text.
This is also true across the design system documentation.
This is because NotGovUK, defines 38em as the maximum width of the paragraph component NotGovUK code. This appears to be because the GOV.UK design system do the same GOV.UK design system code.
However, this is a particular design choice by the GOV.UK design system team for their documentation website, and is not a standard part of the GOV.UK Frontend styling. This is to do with how they manage their styles between their documentation and their examples.
Therefore propose that the 38em width restriction is removed from NotGovUK for paragraphs.
There is a separate question about whether we want to consider the overall width container of the page.
#564 would remove the maximum width of paragraphs so that the paragraph is limited (like the bullets) by the containing column. This means the gender section would look like:
