WAL Streets median names

How can you automate a check for median segments? Any segment under x meters between two roads that are very similar in name (only off by a couple of letters)? Should those that are connected only to road segments with the same name be included or not (it is legitimate to have a name then, of course) Basically looking for median segments that have street names that should not be named.
