Repository containing information about the GameWEngine
The repository doesn't contain any source code because the project is closed source with (only) a few developers who develop this engine internally.
It's used to measure the progress of the engine.
- C++/C with a few assembler instructions
- The engine is totally written from scratch
- OpenGL is used
- 32 and 64 bits are supportet
- At the moment Windows and Linux is supported, but support for macOS is planned for the future
- BulletPhysics is used as a physics framework
- libVLC is used to display videos, but it should get replaced with ffmpeg in the future
- SDL2 is used to obtain an opengl-context and create the window
- GLFW support is integrated aswell (historical reasons)
- The engine only supports the gcc compiler (even on windows: mingw-w64); GCC 6.3
