Margins on the column block are set by default. This makes it hard to use as a layout tool as space is inserted between columns, which I may not always want. It would be good to use the custom spacing property so that we can use the block in templates without custom CSS.

For example, a design like this should use columns to separate the Site Title a Navigation, but then the separator block is pushed too far down:
