What problem does this address?

Currently, if you are adding a link like https://wordpress.org/ to a post, it doesn't automatically link. This is the case if you insert it on it's own, in the context of a paragraph block, and when adding into a footnote:

autolinking.mov

What is your proposed solution?

Consider a way to automatically link a link when it's added similar to google docs:

autolinking.gdocs.mov
