Comment #1 originally posted by Omertron on 2008-12-03T07:52:02.000Z: There is currently an unused tag called "originaltitle" which might suit this purpose |
Comment #2 originally posted by Omertron on 2008-12-03T07:57:31.000Z: Right! Didn't see that one. It's currently unused. Right? |
Comment #3 originally posted by Omertron on 2008-12-03T08:40:06.000Z: Yes, so we'd have to see what XBMC uses it for, and if it's what we need too |
Comment #4 originally posted by Omertron on 2008-12-03T09:59:15.000Z: Also, about the filename title. Because in most cases the filenames need editing in |
Comment #5 originally posted by Omertron on 2008-12-25T14:22:44.000Z: Any updates on this? :D |
Comment #6 originally posted by Omertron on 2009-01-13T15:54:57.000Z: I'd like this as well. I tried to override in an xml .nfo file, but to |

Comment #12 originally posted by Omertron on 2009-12-22T11:34:59.000Z: +1 this is a greatly needed and wanted feature for me!!!!!!!!! |
Comment #13 originally posted by Omertron on 2010-05-19T20:59:36.000Z: This feature is greatly needed for me too. It would be a workaround for issue 1471, to sort that movie between "L'Abominable" and "L'Ours", it would be ok for me. |
Comment #14 originally posted by Omertron on 2010-05-26T11:15:12.000Z: +1 being French makes us deal with lots of accented characters (take for instance "La But there are more "common" problems : "Kuzko 2" comes before "Kuzko, the Emperor's This feature would be great. |

Comment #19 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-02T15:45:13.000Z: On behalf of all french french people using YAMJ, THANK YOU !!!! |
Comment #20 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-02T18:05:19.000Z: After checking with r2323, it does not work for me. Maybe I don't know how to use it. |
Comment #21 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-02T18:37:48.000Z: As you can see on this capture, Délivrance comes after Dune. |
Comment #22 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-02T19:03:54.000Z: I may know why it doesn't work. When using sorttitle on a movie, I need to delete the previous and next movies xml files because there are linked to the one I want to move. |
Comment #23 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-02T19:17:18.000Z: Still doesn't work. I'll try with xml.recheck=true... |
Comment #24 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-03T06:29:48.000Z: Doesn't work, even with mjb.recheck.XML=true. Do I need to rebuild the whole jukebox? |
Comment #25 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-03T07:34:40.000Z: I think the IMDB plugin is overwriting the sorttitle when it scrapes. If you set both title and sorttitle in the NFO it works, if you just have sorttitle it doesn't. I'll look into fixing it properly |
Comment #26 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-03T12:35:11.000Z: I'm not using the IMDB plugin but Allocine. Anyway I'll check it setting both title & sorttitle. |
Comment #27 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-03T13:57:24.000Z: Doesn't matter what the plugin is, for some reason the sorttitle is overridden when the title is updated. I need to work out a way to prevent that. |
Comment #28 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-03T19:43:18.000Z: This issue was closed by revision r2331. |
Comment #29 originally posted by Omertron on 2011-05-04T05:30:14.000Z: Thanks, Stuart. |
Original issue 314 created by Omertron on 2008-12-03T06:39:27.000Z:
It would be useful to have an alternative title option in the nfo for
sorting purposes. In the xml there is a tag line called <sort title> or
something like that which allows the movie to be sorted in a different way
than by filename title or nfo title.
