Original issue 997 created by Omertron on 2009-09-14T16:58:39.000Z:

It would be nice to be able to turn off the processing of trailers that are
physically on the harddrive, and just have a link to the trailers' movie
file in the main movie details.

If you are like me and have set the moviejukebox.properties to download 1
trailer for every movie, and don't need the index pages created just for
the extras, you could cut the processing time in half this way.

I agree with coendeurloo, I have the same options set to download just 1 trailer,
and don't need an 'Extras' page creating for each movie. It would cut the processing
time down as it wouldn't have to download the fanart and movie posters for each
trailer as well as the movie.

I'm also with you guys on this one! Although, I don't have my settings changed to
download trailers, I just do it manually by going to quicktime and using greesemonkey
to save the .mov files. I have hundreds of trailers and they all have 3 or 4 other
files generated from them, that never get used. Trailers for future releases, I do
not put on my PCH as it would mislead me and other users of it ( they would see the
poster art and think I have the movie in my collection, when in fact, its just a link
to a trailer )

This is useful not just for trailers, but Extras, Bonus, etc.
