Bront

Bront is a collection of tweaked fonts geared towards programming.

DejaVu Sans Mono - Bront

  • 0 has a slash
  • * is centered vertically to align with +, -, and =
  • _ is narrower in order to discern consecutive characters
  • - is the same width as _
  • ~ is more wavy in order to further differentiate it from -
  • i has a tail instead of a bilateral serif
  • l has no serif on top
  • % has a more angled divider
  • { and } are the same height as ( and )
  • It has Powerline symbols

  • $ has a full pillar
  • 0 has a slash
  • _ is narrower in order to discern consecutive characters
  • - is the same width as _
  • * is centered vertically to align with +, -, and =
  • G has a horizontal bar
  • % has actual circles
  • j, l, and J do not have serifs
  • J has a longer tail
  • * has 6 spokes
  • ~ is more wavy in order to further differentiate it from -
  • t has the same ascender height as l
  • It has Powerline symbols

How to enable displaying alternate versions of certain characters (stylistic sets)

For example it is possible to choose between dot/slash in 0 or open/closed @ or $ with | striking through or not.
