Ideas for "monster hunter"-style game

I've been playing Monster Sanctuary and I was considering bringing some sort of port or game to Arcadia inspired by MS. I've set up a Notion page and I'm in the middle of setting up a Zenhub board for this part of Arcadia.

Idea - we combine the simplicity of the flappy birds Inscope RPG layout with the functionality of the RPG so that we can have things like an inventory system and "battles" between entities. We've already got assets in Unity so that won't be a problem (making it sci-fi-ey)

In terms of making it relevant to our citizen science (zooniverse) game engine, how about something like this:

• The species that you find, and create in Terragenesis (that contribute to citizen science) can be copied into this game, where you find them, catch them and make a base

Mobile companion app - maybe you can interact with your "monsters" (aliens). This is something we can make now and then work in the rest of the storyline, integrations and collaborations/architecture in later.
