for example, when i select an opening tag such as ' < a > " closing tag ' < / a > ' should be highlighted also. This is a very usefull feature which notepad++ already has.

User story: Highlight matching HTML open/close tags. Fyi, Trello has a search feature you can use to see if these features are already on our radar.

In this case there's also an ongoing pull request: #4504. (Link was missing from Trello card, will add now).
