Chat box area is too small and needs a resizing option

Title explains itself but to go into more detail...

You can only read like 2-3 lines at a time and because of that, the scrolling can often miss out parts of lines. The resizing capability would fix this and would also make it possible to access the BLOODY USER PREFERENCES!!! This is a massive problem that needs to be fixed.
