August 25-31, 2024 in Darker: Preparing for 3.0.0 release and addressing CI issues

This week, we made significant progress towards the Darker 3.0.0 release by addressing several open pull requests and issues. On a positive note, we merged the fix for the "dubious ownership" error in Git (PR #614), updating to Darkgraylib 2.0.1. This resolves a long-standing issue (#524) that affected some users' workflows, particularly in CI/CD environments.

In response to a reported issue (#615), we're investigating why the skip_glob option for isort isn't working as expected when used with Darker. This affects files that should be excluded from import sorting, particularly in Django projects with sensitive import ordering. On the CI front, we noticed a Flake8 error (Issue #733) causing dependency conflicts with flake8-bugbear.
